Born Again

Never thought I would be able to come back after three years of being a missionary in India. The last two years had its difficulties. Yet, the stories of meeting people was fascinating. Being able to share with people about faith and convictions has been a great passion for me, I have been doing this ever since I was born again.

In John 3:3, Jesus made it clear about being born again. "No one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born again." This "born again" phrase basically means that you have life given from God so that you can have a relationship with Him.

Ever soul that has ever lived or will live will sin. The Bible is very clear about "for all have done sinned (done something bad or evil)" and "there is none righteous." Because of this, the Bible is clear about our spiritual life...we are dead spiritually. Each one of us is dead and separated from God.

Today, I was able to share with two friends from the military. They are both ladies who work in a hole in the office. They are both civilians. The older of two is a single mother with three kids working a way in an office which no one really cares because there are not military. The other lady is a friend from 2002 when I first came to Travis AFB. She has a medical condition. She has to get shots for her head because her conditions is so bad. Her family is not too well but trying to make it in this economy issue.

I was blessed to hear their stories about their relationships of friends, co workers, family, and their future plans. They are laid back folks who I would not mind hanging out. Then, we talked about relationships with a commitment.

Their relationship with God could be better. Their confession of this was evident when I shared about their relationship with their male friends who are closer than a friend. I told them there needs to be a foundation to base their relationship.

Of course I am bias to the Christian faith and share with them that their relationship with God through Jesus is most important. Then, I share with them about being born again.

Walking away today from the office which is stuck in the back where no one is, I was fortunate. Sharing about His underserved favor with them was rewarding, I believe God will cause His word to fulfill what His purpose is in their life and mine.

Please pray for them and those I will meet.

As always 517...

Choices

Today is Saturday. And it is almost midnight. I just wanted to write my first blog ever. Choices. Have you ever wondered the moment you wake up you have a choice to do this or that. To believe or not. No matter what choices we choose to make there are good and bad consequences. We can never escape them and the ironic part about choices is there is one choice no one can choose not too and that is death. Everyone in history made choices that made a difference in life or was an example not too be like. Today, what choices would you have changed if you could? Or what choices will you make tomorrow based on today? No matter what you think or do from here on out you still have a choice. I just hope you live life to the fullest and make great choices so that when you die, you can say I lived life to the fullest with the choices I made. My mother made choices too. But, not one of you knows her. However, you know her only by her tomb stone above, the one thing we all who are alive can not choose to opt out or escape is death. Choices...
